Brand Identity & Strategy

Positioning, naming, and visual systems that hold up past the launch post.

In short

Sparza builds brand identities from a written argument rather than a mood board. We start with positioning — what you are, who it is for, and what you are willing to say no to — then design the system that carries it. Typical engagements run six to eight weeks and hand over a running system, not a PDF.

Team

Creative director, designer, strategist

You probably need this if

  • Your brand was designed before the company found its actual market, and the two no longer match.
  • Every team makes its own version of the logo because nobody can find the real files.
  • You can describe what you sell but not why anyone should choose you over the obvious alternative.
  • The identity looks right in the deck and falls apart everywhere it actually appears.

What’s included

  • Positioning and messaging. A written point of view covering audience, category, difference, and the claims you can actually defend.
  • Naming. Where it is needed — product, feature, or company names, with availability screening flagged for your legal counsel.
  • Visual identity. Mark, typography, colour, layout rules, and the construction logic that keeps the system coherent as it grows.
  • Application design. The real surfaces the brand lives on, chosen with you rather than assumed.
  • Guidelines and templates. Short, usable, and written for the people who will work with them daily.

How the work runs

Weeks 1–2

Discovery

Interviews with your team and customers, a competitive read, and an audit of everything the brand currently touches. Ends with a written point of view.

Weeks 3–4

Direction

Positioning locked, then two visual territories developed far enough to judge honestly. You pick one and we go deep instead of wide.

Weeks 5–7

System build

The chosen direction extended into a full system, tested against the worst-case applications rather than the flattering ones.

Week 8

Handover

Guidelines, templates, and a working session with the people who will use them.

What you get

  • Written positioning and messaging framework
  • Primary identity with construction rules
  • Typographic and colour system, specified per medium
  • Application designs for your real surfaces
  • Editable templates and asset library
  • Guidelines document and a training session

Common questions

Do we have to rebrand everything at once?

No. We sequence rollout so the most visible surfaces change first and the expensive ones can wait for their natural replacement cycle. Several clients have spread the change across two budget years without ever looking half-finished.

Can you work with our existing logo?

Often, yes. If the mark still carries equity we build the system around it rather than replacing it. We will tell you plainly if we think the mark is the problem, and why.

What if we do not have a strategy yet?

That is the normal starting point. The first two weeks exist to produce one. We do not begin visual work until there is a written argument to design against.

Every engagement starts with a 45-minute call and a short written proposal covering scope, price, and dates. Tell us what you’re building, or compare plans first.
